Bivouac

BIVOUAC

We organizes for you, an unforgettable excursion in an oasis in the heart of the desert: the best bivouac in Morocco. For the ride, you will be accompanied by one of our camel drivers, on camel back to experience the Moroccan nomads’ life. You might enjoy the sunset and sunrise amidst the dunes of Erg Chebbi, among the largest in Morocco.

The night goes at the bivouac, under the khaïma, typical Berber tent. In Morocco, a traditional bivouac requires the tasting of the famous Moroccan tajine. You’ll even have access to the “Berber television”, but unfortunately there is only one channel, the starry sky…

The program of the bivouac in the desert :

After about two hours on camel back, we arrive at an oasis where we can climb the dune to go observe the sunset on the Erg Chebbi, culminating all this region of Morocco.

Our guide will prepare a delicious tajine that you will enjoy under the great starry canopy that is not subject to light pollution here … The evening will be accompanied by Berber songs and Moroccan percussions.

You will then spend a night in the quiet and peaceful Sahara under the khaïma, the Moroccan Berber tent. This traditional nomad tent is a very insulating assembly of camel wool strips, sewn and supported by a wooden structure.

You will sleep on a thick layer of Moroccan carpets and mattress for a perfect comfort. In the morning… sleep late, but better to get up early and climb the dunes to admire the splendid sunrise appearing above the Algeria.
