Day 1 : Fez – Ifrane – Middle Atlas – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga desert
“Desert Camel Tours” invite you to explore Sahara desert in 2-day desert tour from Fez to Merzouga and back. Our private driver pick you up from hotel. We explore Middle Atlas mountains in Ifrane, famous ski resort , called as Switzerland of Morocco for its architecture.
We continue to Azrou cedar forest, then Midelt and Errachidia. We pass amazing Ziz valley and we visit fossils in Erfoud. We explore local souk in Rissani before we reach Merzouga desert where we stay overnight in desert riad with dinner.
Day 2 : excursion and Camel Trekking in Merzouga desert
Today we explore Sahara desert in 4×4 excursion. You will visit Rissani lcoal souk, also Khamlia village, famous for music of Gnawa. We meet Nomad people living in desert. Later today we prepare for a camel ride to Merzouga camp. We cross Erg Chebbi dunes and we watch Merzouga sunset. Then you will have traditional dinner and we listen to Berber music. We sleep in desert tents in Merzouga.
Day 3 : Sunrise Camel ride in Merzouga desert – Midelt – Fez
Our private Fez desert tour finishes today and we drive towards Midelt after watching desert sunrise. We pass Erfoud, Errachidia and Azrou. The private driver of “Desert Camel Tours” will drop you off at your accommodation in Fez.
