Day 1: Arrival in Tangier – Gateway to Africa
Upon arrival in Tangier, our team will meet and assist you. Depending on your arrival time, we may explore the historic Medina, the Kasbah, and the famous Caves of Hercules. Tangier is a city where Europe meets Africa, offering stunning views of the Strait of Gibraltar. After an introductory tour, you will check in at your hotel or riad to relax.
Day 2: Tangier to Chefchaouen – The Blue Pearl
After breakfast, we depart for Chefchaouen, one of Morocco’s most picturesque towns. Nestled in the Rif Mountains, this city is known for its blue-painted alleys, charming squares, and vibrant souks. We explore the Kasbah Museum, Outa el Hammam Square, and Ras El Ma Waterfall, before enjoying a relaxing evening in this enchanting town.
Day 3: Chefchaouen to Fes via Volubilis and Meknes
Leaving Chefchaouen, we head to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where we admire well-preserved mosaics and grand pillars. Our next stop is Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, where we explore Bab Mansour, the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, and the royal granaries. By evening, we arrive in Fes, Morocco’s cultural capital, for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Exploring Fes – The Spiritual Heart of Morocco
Today is dedicated to exploring Fes el Bali, one of the oldest and most intricate Medinas in the world. We visit Al Quaraouiyine University, Bou Inania Madrasa, Nejjarine Fountain, and Chouara Tannery. Walking through the labyrinthine streets, we experience local artisans, vibrant souks, and centuries-old traditions. The day concludes with a traditional Moroccan dinner at a local riad.
Day 5: Fes to Merzouga – Into the Sahara
Leaving Fes, we journey towards the Sahara Desert. We pass through Ifrane, the “Switzerland of Morocco”, and continue to Midelt, a scenic town in the Middle Atlas. After crossing the Ziz Valley, we reach Merzouga, where camels await to take us into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. At sunset, we ride into the desert, enjoying a traditional Berber dinner under the starry sky at our luxurious desert camp.
Day 6: Merzouga Adventure – Desert Exploration
An early morning camel ride offers a mesmerizing Sahara sunrise experience. After breakfast, we explore nomadic villages, fossil mines, and Khamlia village, home to Gnawa musicians. A thrilling 4×4 desert excursion takes us deep into the dunes, followed by a relaxing afternoon at the camp with sandboarding and tea with locals.
Day 7: Merzouga to Todra and Dades Gorges
We depart the Sahara and travel through the dramatic Todra Gorge, famous for its towering rock formations. After exploring the gorge, we continue to Dades Valley, passing through Berber villages and stunning landscapes. We end the day at a local riad, where we enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner.
Day 8: Dades Valley to Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou
